Princess Bismah Bint Saud, who has been detained in Saudi Arabia for the past three years, has been released due to illness. Bismah bint Saud, 57, 

a strong voice for women's rights and fighting for the supremacy of the constitution in the country, was arrested in March 2019 along with her daughter done. 

Her condition worsened day by day, prompting the Saudi monarch and crown prince to request the release of the ailing princess in 2020. 

Princess Bismah Bint Saud was taken into custody while she was on her way to Switzerland for medical treatment.
